Sex Offender Registration
Steven Eversole discusses sex offender registration.
If you are convicted of a sex crime in the State of Alabama, then you are required to register with the sheriff of the county in which you reside. You are also required to comply with the community notification act; this act will require you to give notice to everyone that lives within 1,000 yards of your residence. You cannot live or work within 2,000 yards of a school or daycare facility. These consequences will be with you for the rest of your life. Failure to register is a class C felony which can revoke your bond and put you back in jail. Please give me a call to discuss your rights. |
